VOICED : Fighting AIDS a top priority in western Kenya

Health workers in a high-risk community in Kenya are actively encouraging HIV testing. Despite cultural challenges, such as traditional practices and attitudes towards circumcision, efforts are being made to increase awareness and testing. The global incidence of AIDS has decreased, but local efforts continue to combat the disease. Community members are becoming more open to testing, and those who test positive can access treatment. Circumcision is promoted as a preventive measure, contributing to a broader strategy against HIV.
