Airman First Class Mike O'Connor, stationed at Minot Air Force Base, observed a mysterious light that seemed to lift off the ground. The Minot control tower directed a B52 to investigate. The B52 crew, including Captain Patrick Mccaslin, detected an object on radar and captured images of it flying in formation with the aircraft. Captain Brad Runyon also spotted a glowing craft. From 1947 to 1969, the US Air Force conducted investigations into UFOs under Project Blue Book. Despite multiple witnesses, Blue Book concluded that the sightings were merely stars.
