Person in Mexico died of a bird flu strain that hadn't been confirmed before in a human, WHO says

A new strain of virus, previously unseen in humans, has been identified. The World Health Organization reports that a man with underlying health conditions succumbed to the virus shortly after hospitalization. The source of infection remains unclear as he had no known contact with animals. Officials state the infection risk to Mexico's population is low. This strain differs from another that has affected dairy workers in the US.
