IND-PTV - Globe Valves

Globe valves are primarily used for precise throttling applications, experiencing a greater pressure drop due to a 90-degree turn in the flow path. They consist of moving parts like the disk, valve stem, and handwheel. The fluid flow direction changes multiple times, increasing pressure drop. Typically, globe valves are installed with the stem vertical. Various disc types, such as plug, ball, composition, and needle, serve different purposes, from throttling to on-off applications.
