VOICED : Vienna panda prepares

The Vienna Schonbrunn Zoo is preparing to send Fuhu, a panda, back to China to a reserve in Sichuan. The zoo keepers have been training him for the journey, including getting him used to his crate and in-flight conditions. Under a contract with China, pandas born in Vienna must return after two years, which aligns with their natural independence age. Visitors are sad to see Fuhu go, as pandas have been a major attraction. Fuhu is special because he was naturally conceived, a rare achievement for European zoos. The zoo hopes for another successful breeding season next year.
