Tractor Beams: Almost Real!

NASA is exploring tractor beam technology, inspired by science fiction, to manipulate particles using lasers. While capturing particles with light is feasible, pulling them remains challenging. Optical tweezers, developed in the 1980s, use lasers to trap particles. New methods, like solenoid beams, are being tested to attract particles. NASA aims to use this technology for space exploration and research, though it's not yet practical for large-scale applications like cleaning space debris.
