Colombia has approved a fast track process to legislate the peace agreement with the Farc guerrilla. The Constitutional Court validated the fast track, which reduces parliamentary discussions by half for laws related to the peace agreement. These laws require absolute majorities in Congress and are subject to court review. The fast track is exclusively for implementing the final agreement with the Farc and is limited to 180 days. The Interior Ministry has introduced an amnesty law as the first project under this mechanism.
