Russian agent 'tricked into detailing Navalny assassination bid'

Alexei Navalny survived an assassination attempt using the nerve agent Nova Shock on August 20th. The BBC reports that Bellingcat, an investigative group, revealed that Navalny tricked a Russian FSB agent into disclosing details of the attack. Navalny impersonated a security official to extract information, learning that the poison was placed in his underpants. He shared the recorded conversation on YouTube. The FSB agent mentioned that the quick actions of the airline pilot and medical team in Omsk might have saved Navalny. The agent was later sent to remove traces of the poison from Navalny's clothes. Navalny is known for his critical remarks about President Putin.
