Castle Bravo: The Largest Nuclear Explosion in US History

Bikini Atoll, once a beautiful island, became the site of the largest US nuclear test, Castle Bravo, in 1954. The test caused massive destruction, rendering the atoll uninhabitable and spreading radioactive contamination. The event led to international condemnation and highlighted the severe long-term health and environmental impacts on the Marshallese people. March 1st is now a day of remembrance for the victims.
