VOICED : Ecuador crea corredor marino con Costa Rica para proteger fauna migratoria

Ecuador has established a new marine reserve called Hermandad, covering 60,000 square kilometers, to protect migratory species in the Galápagos. This reserve connects with Costa Rica's protected area, Los Cocos, and is part of a larger plan to unify with Colombia's Malpelo and Panama's Coiba reserves. This unification will create the world's largest biological corridor, offering a fishing-free zone of over 500,000 square kilometers. The Galápagos reserve, which inspired Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, is the second largest in the world, home to 2,900 marine species.
