VOICED : FIFA: Comision de Etica pide sanciones contra Blatter y Platini

The FIFA Ethics Committee has called for sanctions against Josef Plater and Michel Platini amid corruption allegations. Both were provisionally suspended for 90 days. Platini is under investigation for a suspicious payment of over $1.9 million from Plater for advisory work completed in 2002. His FIFA presidency candidacy is on hold. Plater faces accusations of selling TV rights for the 2010 and 2014 World Cups to the Caribbean Football Union at below-market prices. The final report has been sent to the decision-making body to determine if a formal procedure will be initiated.
