Coretta Scott King: Honoring Martin's Legacy and Advocating for Change

Coretta Scott King continued her husband's legacy by leading marches and advocating for peace. She established the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta to honor his work. Coretta also campaigned for Martin's birthday to become a national holiday, which was achieved in 1983. Her activism extended internationally, including protests against apartheid in South Africa. Coretta's legacy is celebrated for her contributions to civil and human rights, and her funeral was attended by four US Presidents.
