I WONDER - What Is Soil Erosion?

Plants are effective in preventing soil erosion, especially near water bodies. Their roots anchor the soil, preventing it from being washed away. Trees with exposed roots can often be seen holding soil in place by rivers. Additionally, tall trees, shrubs, and bushes help prevent soil erosion caused by wind by acting as barriers that slow down or stop the wind before it can carry the soil away.
