Amazon Enters the Satellite Space Race

Amazon is set to launch its first two prototype satellites for Project Kuiper in late 2022, marking its entry into the space-based internet market. Competing with SpaceX and others, Amazon aims to provide high-speed internet from low Earth orbit. This launch will test the satellites before deploying over 3000 more. Announced in 2019, this project is part of Jeff Bezos' broader space ambitions, alongside his ownership of Blue Origin.
