9 Migrant Families Reunited In U.S. After 'Unlawful' Deportations

A federal judge ruled that the separation and deportation of certain migrant parents were unlawful, allowing them to reunite with their children in the US. The judge found that border agents had misled these parents about their asylum rights. As a result, nearly a dozen parents were permitted to return to the US to pursue asylum claims. Other parents, not found to have been coerced, faced the difficult decision of whether to have their children returned to their home countries or remain in the US without them.
