USO Baby Show

In Salinas, CA, a special group of youngsters, many meeting their fathers for the first time on furlough, are introduced. Each GI Junior receives a checkup from a nurse. Judges select the prettiest babies, and the event features a 'baby go round' for children aged six months to two years. The kids are notably noisy and spirited, showing a fighting spirit reminiscent of their fathers.
