VOICED : Expresidente Sarkozy fue detenido

The French Anti-Corruption Police have 24 hours to interrogate former President Nicolas Sarkozy, with a possible extension of another day. After the interrogation, Sarkozy could be released or face a judge for further proceedings. He arrived at the police headquarters in Nanterre at 8 AM. His lawyer and two magistrates were arrested the previous day. The investigation aims to determine if Sarkozy and his lawyer sought information from a magistrate in exchange for a prestigious position and if Sarkozy was illicitly informed about the wiretapping of his phone conversations.
