VOICED : Más de 100 inmigrantes irregulares son expulsados de Chile por tierra y aire

The Chilean government has expelled 138 migrants, mostly Venezuelans, who entered the country irregularly. The expulsions are conducted through administrative and judicial means. Due to COVID-19, Chile's borders are closed, but illegal crossings, especially from Bolivia, have increased. Migrants report being forced to sign documents and feel criminalized. In January, 3,600 migrants crossed the northern border irregularly, a significant increase from the previous year, with over 1,500 passing through Colchane, where two migrants died.
