VOICED : Solar lamps light way despite Cameroon blackouts

In Cameroon, frequent power cuts have led to the increased use of solar lamps, especially for students doing homework. These lamps are not only essential for daily life but also present a business opportunity for local traders. With prices ranging from €10 to €25, they are affordable and in demand. Local production has started, with a plant producing 200 lamps daily using imported materials. The government, under President Paul Biya, has promised to improve the power infrastructure, but for now, solar lamps are the primary solution for lighting needs.
