Frida Kahlo's painting 'Diego y yo' set a new auction record for a Latin American artist, selling for $34.9 million at Sotheby's in New York. The painting, bought by Argentine collector Eduardo Constantini, is a significant feminist icon. Previously sold in 1990 for $1.4 million, it was valued between $30 and $50 million. The previous record for a Kahlo painting was $8 million in 2016.
