VOICED : Corte-IDH pide a Perú que "se abstenga" de liberar a expresidente Fujimori

The Inter-American Court of Human Rights has requested Peru to refrain from releasing former President Alberto Fujimori until a decision is made on an appeal by victims' families of past massacres. Despite a recent order from Peru's Constitutional Tribunal to release Fujimori by reinstating a 2017 pardon, he remains in custody. Fujimori, who was popular during his presidency from 1990 to 2000, fled to Japan amid growing opposition and resigned. He has been convicted of crimes against humanity and corruption.
