VOICED : Chile incorpora 15 km al Metro de Santiago

The Santiago Metro has expanded with 10 new stations, extending the network by 15 kilometers. This development, costing over a billion dollars and taking nearly a decade, aims to serve the 7 million residents of Chile's capital. The new automated train line includes a station near the Estadio Nacional. President Michelle Bachelet inaugurated Line 6, connecting Cedrillos and Providencia in 19 minutes. In 2018, Line 3 will add 22 kilometers and 18 stations, aiming to reduce traffic and improve air quality.
