The video explains how the Saxons, originally pagans, converted to Christianity but retained the names of their gods in the days of the week. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are named after Saxon gods. The influence of Roman culture is also evident in the naming of Sunday, Monday, and Saturday, as well as the months July and August, named after Roman emperors. Despite converting to Christianity, the Saxons continued using these names, a practice that persists today.
