USPS Announces 10-Year Overhaul To Increase Revenue, Avoid Bailout

The USPS has proposed a plan to increase revenue by slowing delivery times for first class mail from one to three days to one to five days, while maintaining current standards for 61% of mail. The plan includes more truck deliveries and fewer airplane deliveries, as well as reduced hours at some retail locations. The Postmaster General warns that without this plan, a government bailout may be necessary.
