Rising Waters: A Warmer World

Greenhouse gas emissions are causing global warming, leading to rising sea levels as oceans absorb excess heat. Since 1880, sea levels have risen 8-9 inches, with some areas more prone to flooding. Currently, sea levels rise at 3.3 mm per year, 30% faster than in 1992. NASA uses satellites, ships, and airplanes to study these changes and their impacts.
