New biologger designed to track sperm whale's behavior

Japan has developed a biologger that attaches to sperm whales to gather data on their biology and behavior. The device uses water currents for power and suction cups for attachment. It has been tested at 500 meters depth and will be deployed around the Ogasawara Islands. The main goal is to capture video of sperm whales hunting giant squid, using the biologger to travel near the whale's mouth.
