Iguanas

Iguanas, being cold-blooded reptiles, rely on the sun to absorb heat and stay alive. Their black bodies are ideal for absorbing heat. The sun's energy, in the form of infrared radiation, warms the iguanas, causing them to change color from purple to gold as they heat up. They store this heat to dive into cold water for food, where they cool down by transferring heat to the ocean. Upon returning to land, they rewarm by spreading out on sun-baked rocks, absorbing heat through conduction, allowing them to store enough energy for their next dive.
