I WONDER - When Was The First Space Station Launched Into Space?

In 1971, the Soviet Union launched Salyut 1, the first space station, into orbit. It housed three Russian cosmonauts who completed a record-setting 24-day mission. Tragically, all three died during re-entry due to the absence of spacesuits. Despite this, Salyut 1 paved the way for future space stations.
