Demonstrators, including teachers, have resorted to violent actions such as setting fire to government buildings in Guerrero. The protests have escalated since the announcement by the Fiscalía that the students were likely massacred, a claim the families reject. The families are distancing themselves from the violence and are organizing caravans to demand the students be found alive.
