In La Paz, a protest by disabled individuals escalated into clashes with police as they attempted to breach a barrier around the Presidential Palace. The protesters have been demanding an increase in their monthly subsidy from 14 to 70 dollars. The police responded with water cannons after being attacked with knives and harmful chemicals. While some protesters reached an agreement with authorities, others have intensified their protest by camping near the government headquarters.
