Google Announces Efforts To Boost Number Of Black Executives

Google is addressing racial equity by increasing Black executives and committing to diversity. CEO Sundar Pichai announced plans to boost leadership diversity by 30% in five years. Currently, 96% of Google's US senior leadership is White or Asian, and 73% are men. The company will focus on hiring, retention, and promotion of underrepresented groups. Google also plans to invest $175 million in Black-owned businesses and support Black entrepreneurs.
