5G Internet drones: Google testing giant UAVs high above New Mexico desert

The Skybender project is experimenting with delivering high-speed internet using Titan drones equipped with millimeter wave radio transmitters. This technology, potentially part of 5G, can transmit data at speeds up to 40 times faster than 4G. However, millimeter waves face challenges such as absorption by atmospheric gases and obstruction by objects like trees and buildings.
