The NHS is taking measures to shield the most clinically vulnerable people in England to save lives. Up to 1.5 million individuals at high risk of hospitalization due to the virus will be contacted by the NHS and advised to stay home for at least 12 weeks. This includes people with severe respiratory conditions, certain cancers, organ transplant recipients, and some on immunosuppressive treatments.
