D'agrumes BMX Center, created by Nike from an old swimming pool, quickly gained popularity with 4000 enthusiasts. Despite its success, the council decided to close it due to logistical issues and budget constraints, opting to provide parking for a new center. The community, especially local youth, valued the center as a safe and engaging space. A petition to save it garnered 3000 signatures in two days. The center was built with significant resources and was seen as a valuable asset, especially with the upcoming Olympics. The bikes will be donated to schools, but the closure remains a disappointment to many.
