Pope Francis conducted a mass in Paraguay, attended by around a million people. He praised Paraguayan women for their role in rebuilding the nation after the devastating Triple Alliance War. The Pope acknowledged the difficult situations these women faced, which sometimes led them to actions contrary to their faith, and offered a unique posthumous forgiveness.
