His visit, seen as interference by Chavismo, aims to provide technical advisory in their defense. Ledezma, the mayor of Caracas, is under house arrest for alleged conspiracy, while López faces charges of inciting violence during 2014 protests. López recently declared a hunger strike as his trial resumed.
