Venezuelan author and artist bridges gap for bilingual children

Susie Jaramillo, a Venezuelan author and artist, created Canticos to fill a gap in bilingual content for children, promoting Latino culture. She co-founded Encantos, becoming the first Latina CEO of a children's entertainment company in the US. Jaramillo emphasizes the importance of women in media leadership and supports community initiatives for asylum seekers. Her Canticos series, now a Nickelodeon show, has sold over 350,000 copies. She advises young entrepreneurs to be their own mentors. Jaramillo also created the Skeletina series, inspired by childhood nightmares, to help children explore dreams.
