Europa was given the island of Crete to rule, but it faced constant invasions. To protect it, Festus created Talos, a giant bronze man who patrolled the shores. Talos had a single vulnerability: a vein sealed by a nail. Medea convinced him to remove it, promising immortality. Believing her, Talos removed the nail, causing his life force to drain away, leading to his death.
