VOICED: Flipping old flip-flops into art

In Kibera, Charles collects discarded flip flops, which are then recycled by Unique ECO into various products. Founded by marine biologist Julie Church, the project not only cleans up beaches but also provides employment and skill development for local communities. Over 80% of the products are exported, supporting the local economy. The initiative highlights the potential of turning waste into valuable items, educating people on sustainability and creativity.
