VOICED : La UE promete responder a expulsion de su embajadora de Venezuela

Tensions between the EU and Venezuela have escalated following Venezuela's decision to expel the EU ambassador, Isabel Brillante. In response, the EU plans to summon the Venezuelan ambassador, Claudia Salerno, but cannot physically expel her due to diplomatic protocols. This move by Venezuela comes after the EU imposed sanctions on 11 Venezuelan officials for undermining democracy. The EU has sanctioned a total of 36 Venezuelans and imposed an arms embargo since 2017. Despite these tensions, the EU continues to address the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela and the refugee situation in the region.
