VOICED : Mascherano dejara la seleccion argentina tras Rusia 2018

Javier Mascherano announced his intention to retire from the Argentine national team after the 2018 World Cup in Russia. At 33, the FC Barcelona midfielder dreams of reaching another World Cup final, having previously played in the 2014 final where Argentina lost to Germany. Mascherano also participated in the 2006 and 2010 World Cups, exiting at the quarter-final stage. He is close to becoming the most capped player for Argentina and has won Olympic gold medals in 2004 and 2008. Despite reaching four Copa América finals, he has yet to win the continental title.
