Starbucks adding more paid parental leave for employees

Starbucks announced a new parental leave policy effective March, offering 18 weeks of paid leave for birth parents, up from 12 weeks. Adoptive parents can receive up to 12 weeks. The policy applies to employees working 20+ hours weekly, covering 200,000 workers at company-operated stores but not the 7,000 licensed stores.
