U.S. To Host Upcoming G-7 Meeting Via Teleconference

The G7 meeting, initially planned to be held in Pittsburgh, will now be conducted virtually due to COVID-19 concerns. The State Department expressed gratitude to Pittsburgh for its willingness to host. The World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 a pandemic, with over 121,000 cases worldwide, including over 1,000 in the US. The meeting, scheduled for March 24-25, will include foreign ministers from the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Canada. It will be hosted by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and precedes the annual G7 summit in June at Camp David.
