1952: JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN, INDIA

The old Maharaja of Jaipur serves as the titular head of the United States of Rajasthan, a new province that includes his former Principality of Jaipur. Although his powers are now limited, akin to a provincial governor, and he has transferred much of his property to the state, he still maintains a luxurious lifestyle. The Maharaja's palace is partly dedicated to his hobbies, including big game hunting, a common interest among Indian princes.
