Romania

Romania, with nearly 20 million Romanian speakers, is the 7th most populous EU member. Most Romanians are Orthodox Christians, with a minority of other Christian denominations and Romani people. Romania borders the Black Sea, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia, and Moldova. Bucharest, the capital, features the Palace of the Parliament, originally built for dictator Nikolai Chaushasku. Romania's economy is service-oriented, with significant manufacturing and agriculture sectors. The Carpathian Mountains and Danube River are notable geographical features. Romania has a temperate continental climate with hot summers and cold winters.
