Agent Garbo

Juan Pujol Garcia, a Spanish double agent, played a crucial role in World War II by misleading the Nazis about the Allies' invasion plans. Initially rejected by the Allies, he was recruited by the Nazis, whom he deceived with false information. British intelligence later enlisted him, and he became known as Agent Garbo. His most significant contribution was convincing the Nazis that the Allies would invade Pas de Calais instead of Normandy, aiding the success of D-Day. After the war, he faked his death to avoid Nazi retribution and lived in South America. Pujol is celebrated as one of the most important spies of the 20th century.
