VOICED : CIDH comienza sesiones por derechos de migrantes

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights began an extraordinary session in Mexico City, where organizations from El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala presented cases of migrant rights violations. Tracy Robinson, the Commission's president, highlighted the opportunity to engage with Mexican authorities and civil society to gain insights into regional progress and challenges. Miguel Ángel Losorio, Mexico's Secretary of the Interior, emphasized the need for shared responsibility and coordinated solutions to address the crisis of unaccompanied child migration, noting that over 57,000 children have crossed into the U.S. since October, a significant increase from previous years.
