VOICED : Un ano despues del tsunami de lodo: relato de un sobreviviente

José Pascual, a farmer in Minas Gerais, Brazil, lost his dairy cows in a mudslide caused by the collapse of a mining dam owned by Samarco. The disaster devastated the nearby village of Bento Rodríguez and affected Paracatú de Baixo, where residents were evacuated in time. Pascual's home was spared, but he now lives alone, facing economic hardship and fear of another collapse. His family is temporarily relocated, and the company has promised to rebuild the community by 2019. Pascual remains hopeful but knows the village will never be the same.
