This crisis has increased the number of children facing hunger, lack of education, abuse, and forced marriages, while access to health, vaccines, and essential services has declined. The report highlights that 60 million more children now live in low-resource households, and over 23 million missed essential vaccines in 2020. Before the pandemic, a billion children worldwide already lacked access to basic needs, and this number continues to grow, widening the gap between rich and poor children.
