After seven months of war in Ukraine, Leviaset's residents rely on humanitarian aid for food. Initially, they had no access to stores or food. Although Russian troops haven't reached this rural area, the community suffered from bombings until a Ukrainian counteroffensive. The local cultural center distributes food packages from the World Food Program, containing essentials for a month. Elderly residents face challenges due to the heavy load and lack of electricity and gas. Despite infrastructure damage, including a nearby dam hit by a missile, food distribution offers a brief respite from the war's hardships.
